Hello friends, I am a beginner, in a broad sense. I have had my moments of victory and also of loss. But I want to win. And I know that there is a friendly hand out there that can give me a hand. I am also willing to return that help to whoever needs it. I have decided that Heikin Ashi is the way I prefer to see the price. Now I need a couple of indicators that can complement it. If you know threads where this topic is discussed, please share them with me. I am at a time when I need a lot of support, please help me. Hit the sky and feel the thunder.

If you decided to use Heikin Ashi, I recommend that you use multi-temporal versions as well... and above all, avoid operating against major temporalities. As a complement, you could use TSR or some kind of simple mobile media. And again, give the respect that great temporalities deserve. To operate or program, keep everything simple. There is no need to impress.
I used Heikin Ashi for a while, and what I did was look at a lower temporality than I normally used. This is because Heikin Ashi averages the current candle with the previous one, which adds a delay component. Lowering a time frame helps to compensate for that effect.

Thank you... thank you for the files. Nefser, you said it well: it has that element of delay, but the overall view of the chart is very clear. I hope everything goes well. Hit the sky and feel the thunder.
So Simply123, what's the verdict?

You've been on the forum since 2008 and you're still called a beginner. Did I miss something? The real holy grail is the trader, not the system.

Now Im curious... how do you become a beginner in a broad sense? I just ask out of curiosity.

Hello friends, I am a beginner, in a broad sense. I have had victories and defeats. But I want to win. And I know that someone out there can give me a hand. I am willing to return that help too, if anyone needs it. I have come to the conclusion that Heikin Ashi is my favorite way of seeing the price. I just need to find one or two indicators that complement it. If you know any thread where you talk about this, I would appreciate it very much if you shared it with me. I am in a moment of great need, please give me a hand. Hit the sky and feel the thunder.

If you're going to use Heikin Ashi, it also incorporates multi-temporal versions. And above all: don't operate against the higher temporalities. You can complement it with TSR or some simple mobile media. But always respect what the higher frames say. And as a tip: keep your operation simple. You're not here to impress anyone.
I tried it for a while, and I preferred to see a time frame below the usual one. As Heikin Ashi softens movements, that introduces delay. Using a lesser temporality helps to anticipate a little.

Thank you... thank you for the files. Nefser, you said it well: the delay is, but the overall image is very clean. I hope everything settles down. Hit the sky and feel the thunder.

So Simply123, how are you doing now in your operation?
You've been here since 2008 and you still define yourself as a rookie... isn't that a little weird?

He said clearly in a broad sense. Humility is a sign of wisdom.
Yes, but I still want to know what beginning in a broad sense means. I was curious.

To those who ask why I consider myself a rookie, the answer is simple: I never stop learning. I have been here for years, yes, but time does not guarantee mastery. I have spent seasons without operating, others losing, others trying new things. For me, being new in a broad sense means having the humility to accept that there are still many areas I do not master. And if that puts me on the rookie label, I accept it delighted.

I have been testing several indicators with Heikin Ashi and most end up soiling the chart. The cleaner I keep it, the better I understand the price action. Sometimes the best indicator is common sense and a good market structure. If you put too many tools in, you end up missing in cross signals.

I appreciate the contributions, even the sarcastic ones. In the end, every comment teaches me something, even if it is what I should not do. This path is personal and there are no shortcuts. I am here because I decided to stop improvising and start studying seriously. If that makes me look like a rookie for some, so be it. I prefer that to go expert and keep losing.

The hardest thing to understand from the Heikin Ashi is how to detect when the retreat is real and when it is just a pause. Thats where I lose more operations. Im trying to complement with some simple oscillator like RSI or stochastic, but without overloading myself. I would like to know if anyone has had positive experience with any concrete combination.

To those who recommend moving stockings, which would they use exactly with Heikin Ashi? Exponential? Simple? From what period? Because if it does not fit well to the type of candle, it generates more doubts than signals. I want something that confirms me trend without delaying too much entries. If you know a useful fit, welcome.

One mistake I made was to assume that Heikin Ashi worked the same in all pairs. And no, there are assets where he behaves better than in others. In very volatile pairs, reading can be more confusing. Thats why now I focus on pairs with good structure and lower noise. EURUSD, USDJPY... thats where the system worked most clearly.

22-05-2025 04:01,
I am writing down every entry, every mistake, every doubt. Not only to learn, but to be able to share later with anyone who needs it. I feel that that is part of evolution. We all want to become profitable, but we dont all want to document the way. I will, and if someone will serve you in the future, it will have been worth it.

I have tried complex systems, templates with 7 indicators, automatic signals... nothing worked for me. It was just cleaning my chart and using only Heikin Ashi that I started to see some logic in the price. I dont say its the panacea, but at least it gives me peace of mind. If something I learned is that less is more, especially when your head is full of doubts.

Today I closed an operation with Heikin Ashi and a 20-period mobile half in H1. Simple, clear, stress-free entry. I didnt even look at the chart during the operation. I know they wont all be like that, but it feels good when everything fits. I want more tickets like that, no drama.

I got tired of looking for the saint grail and decided to build my own method with the pieces I already have. Heikin Ashi will be the base, the rest I will adjust according to what I see. No more copying strategies without testing. I want what I use to make sense to me, not for a YouTuber with a thousand followers.

One of the things that confuses me the most is when I leave. The entrance with Heikin Ashi is clear, but the exit often becomes emotional. I am exploring using levels of structure to get out, rather than waiting for a change of color. Does anyone else do this?
axresyngoSos44
22-05-2025 04:23,
Heikin Ashi has taught me to be patient. Sometimes the price moves slowly, and the candles do not change color for several hours. Before I despaired, now I accept it. I think that is part of the process of maturity in trading: accepting that the market moves at its own pace, not yours.

I have received private messages from people who are also starting with Heikin Ashi. That encourages me. We are not alone, just that many are afraid to ask. I encourage everyone to share their doubts here, even if they seem basic. It is the only way forward.

There is a special tranquility when you see a clean trend in Heikin Ashi. Its as if the noise disappeared and only the direction remained. But you dont have to trust yourself. Even the best candles can be cheated if you dont read the context.

22-05-2025 04:36,
If youre reading this and youre starting, Ill tell you something: dont be ashamed not to know. He who shuts up out of fear stays where he is. I asked, doubted, failed and Im still here. Thats profit.

You know what the worst part of this path is? Unreal expectations. To think that by having 3 winning operations you already understood everything. I did. And then came the fall. Thats why I now move forward with humility and a little more head.

22-05-2025 04:46,
I've done 100 backtesting operations with Heikin Ashi on H4. Result: 62 winners, 38 losers. It's not perfect, but it's more than I had before. I'm fine-tuning entry and exit rules. As soon as I have everything solid, I gladly share it.

I've been told that the market is a war. I think it's more like a conversation. If you listen to it, it answers. If you force it, it punishes you. Heikin Ashi is just a way to interpret that language. Now I want to learn to speak it better.
axresyngoSos44
22-05-2025 04:55,
Today I had 3 losses in a row and I still feel calm because I followed the plan, I used my rules, and I did not operate with fear. That, for me, is progress. I would have closed everything and cried before. Today I simply checked and follow.

22-05-2025 04:58,
Heikin Ashi doesn't make me any more, but it helps me make less mistakes. And that, in the long run, is equal or more important. Few tickets, but clear. That's the goal now.

Today I understood that operating calmly is better than getting into them all. I saw an opportunity, but I wasnt 100% convinced... and I let it pass. I didnt earn money, but I gained self-control. That also counts.
axresyngoSos44
22-05-2025 05:11,
I am writing down my emotions during operations, in addition to the technical data. I realize that many times the problem is not strategy, its me. Fear, greed, doubt... are always there. But when you name them, they lose strength.
axresyngoSos44
22-05-2025 05:17,
Yes, I still consider myself a beginner, because every time I think I'm clear, the market gives me a lesson, and I prefer to learn with humility rather than stumble out of pride.

I'm designing a system based on Heikin Ashi + EMA 21 + levels of structure. I'm going slow, but with intent. The important thing is that for the first time I have a method that I understand. I didn't copy it, I built it.

To those who say that Heikin Ashi is only for visual innovations: they havent used it well. There are profitable traders that base everything on these candles. Its not the kind of chart, its how you use it.

22-05-2025 05:31,
Today I operated EURUSD only with Heikin Ashi and support/resistance. I went out with +27 pips. Clean, stress-free, no doubt. It wont always be like this, but I get the feeling that Im on the right track.

I've failed more times than I can count, but I'm still here, because every mistake brings me closer to a hit, and because I want this thread to help someone like me one day.
