If you draw your Pivote R2, R1, pp, S1, S2 from the previous daily candle, what temporary frames should you use?I know it is better for intradic traders, but what would be the best graphics to look?5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour? Thanks for your help.

Understanding candles patterns goes far beyond remembering and recognizing certain formations. Many books on candle patterns have been written, presenting hundreds of different formations that supposedly offer secret information about what will happen next.

If you are drawing pivot points based on the daily candle, it is logical to use higher temporal frames such as H1 or even H4.These will give you a better vision of how levels are respected throughout the day.The smallest frames, such as 5 or 15 minutes, can be useful for precise tickets, but can show too much noise.Focus on identifying trends and key levels before reducing the temporal frame to make specific decisions.

Frankly, asking what temporary frame to use for pivot points seems basic. If you don't know this, maybe you should rethink your strategy before operating live. That said, for Intrada, H1 is a good option because it balances clarity and detail. But if you are looking for something more dynamic, try 15 minutes for fast adjustments.

Thanks for the answers so far.I see that several recommend H1, but what do you think of combining H1 with 15 minutes for more precise tickets? Is it too complicated?

It is not complicated at all.In fact, combining H1 to identify key levels and 15 minutes to search confirmations is a fairly common strategy among experienced traders.Of course, make sure you don't saturate with too much information.Keep your simple indicators and make sure your plan is clear.More data does not always mean better decisions.

Using multiple temporal frames can be useful, but it is also a double -edged sword. If you have no experience, you could end up missing in the amount of information.Start with a broader frame like H1 and then decide if you really need to adjust your entries with something smaller.Sometimes, simplifying is the best strategy.

Do you really think that the key to operating successfully is to choose between 5 minutes or 1 hour?If it were so simple, we would all be millionaires.Instead of obsessing with the temporal frame, focus on understanding how the pivot points are formed and respect. That will take you much further than choosing between 15 or 30 minutes graphics.

I use H1 to draw the levels and 15 minutes to confirm tickets.I also include price action analysis around key levels. It is a system that works well for me.Remember that there is no magic formula. The important thing is that you understand how temporary frames complement each other and help you make more informed decisions.

Why don't you try all temporary frames and see which one works best for you? Each trader has its own style, and what works for some may not work for you.The key is to experiment in a demo account.Take tests, take notes and find the balance that best suits your strategy and personality.

That makes sense.I think I will try different combinations in a demo account to see what best suits my style. Thanks for the advice.

That is the right attitude.Using a demo to experiment is an excellent way to improve without risking real money.Remember, the objective is not only to find what works, but also to gain confidence in your strategy.Trust is key in trading.

Honestly, it seems a bit ridiculous that you are still looking for answers about this. The pivot points are basic tools, and the temporal framework should depend on your strategy, not vice versa. If you are still lost, maybe you should reconsider whether Day Trading is for you. This market is not a place for indecision or lack of preparation.

I don't think it's ridiculous to ask.We all have to start somewhere, and understand how to use pivot points in different temporal frames is a legitimate doubt. If you need a quick response: use H1 for key levels and 15 minutes to confirm tickets. It is a proven approach that works for many intra -intra -trailers.

Personally, I use H4 to identify general trends and H1 for intradic operations. If I try to go down to smaller frames, I find that the levels lose relevance due to noise. In my opinion, maintaining a simple approach is better.Too many temporary frames can be confused and will make you doubt when making decisions.

The problem with many traders is that they think that the temporal frame will make a big difference in its success. The reality is that, if you do not have a solid strategy, the temporal framework does not matter.Focus on improving your analysis of the levels and your risk management. That will be much more important than if you use a 15 -minute or 1 hour graph.

Thanks for pointing it out.I think I have been focusing too much on the technical part and not so much on the general strategy.Do you have any recommendation to improve my risk management?

BortestT96

A simple but effective way to improve your risk management is to always use a minimum risk-re-re-re-re-re-re-rating of 1: 2.This ensures that even if you lose half of your operations, you can still be profitable. In addition, you never risk more than 1-2 % of your account in a single operation.Keep your controlled losses and let the profits accumulate over time.
