I have been out of the Forex for approximately one year.Returning again!I am working on some EA''s and I need a demo platform from MT4 that provides a good history.I have tried espari uk, but great fragments of data in history are missing.I tried downloading again, but without luck.Any suggestion?

Welcome back!If you are looking for complete historical data, Dukascopy test. They have a fairly detailed ticks history and you can integrate it into MT4 with a little effort.

FXCM is fine, but it is not compatible with MQL4.For that, better look for something directly in MT4.

Is it compatible with MQL4?I need compatibility with MQL4.

No, it is not.FXCM has its own platform and is not going to serve MQL4.Better look for a broker that supports MT4 directly.

Unfortunately, it is not.But maybe you should download MT4 from some of FX's great brokers and try it.

Try with brokers such as Pepperstone or IC Markets.Your data feeds are usually more complete and reliable.

Yes, I downloaded the FXCM MT4 package. The same story is missing a lot of Eurusd data at the end of 2011.

And what did you expect?FXCM data is not the best for detailed backtesting.Better get the data from another site.
