    I am working now on the conservative trading of Pins. It will take me some time because of program.

    Do you done any long term backtests in any other pair?

    Alexander,
    I shall wait for that version before I do much more backtests. In my experience the conservative entrance increases the probability of winning. Obviously, the EA appears promising. Keep up the fantastic work!

    1 Attachment(s) Hey men,

    I have found free time to finish the conservative variant of Pin Trader. (Pin Trader EA V2.0)

    This variations sets pending orders at the nose of this trap when it finds it and shuts pending orders if this price target isn't hit within specific period.

    This is actually the conservative trading with hooks.

    It's preset for 5 minute interval. If you would like to modify the interval you need to go to code:

    int CheckClosingSignal()

    if(TimeCurrent()- OrderOpenTime() gt;=300) return (1);
    if(TimeCurrent()- OrderOpenTime() gt;=299) return (-1);
    return (0);

    and modify the numbers 300 and 299 into the interval you would like to test.
    The amounts are in seconds so for 1 Hour TimeFrame you ought to set to 3600 and 3599.

    You need to set slightly different amounts to the code. Sorry for this. If you test it and it's promise for profit I shall find a way to hardcode an automation for it. Right now my time is limited.

    Anyway, enjoy as always.

    Didn't have time to backtest it.

    I am awaiting your comments and backtests to maximize it more.

    Alexander,
    I could not do this to backtest properly. It picked 7 1-hr trades and once I visually checked the trades they did not correspond to pinbars.

    1 Attachment(s) Well guys,

    I have to acknowledge that we have a lot to know about pins.

    I studied them and then I understood that a lot that I did not include in previous versions of the Pin Trader EA, like the nose that the eyes etc..

    Then I revised the pattern recognition system at the Pin EA.

    The result is spectacular!!! Pin Trader EA V3.0 is profitable in the long term!

    Not only is it profitable, but it compliant to the Forex World Cup Rules for submission to the next championship!

    Appearance the backtest for 2009:

    http://www.forexrobotscoach-louizos.....0Test2009.htm

    Therefore I am going to submit it for evaluation into the FRWC!

    All those who attempt to exchange with Pins, I think that it's a great trade system.

    I must thank you for your support in this thread particularly Kostas!

    I started this thread with a sharing mood.

    I do not want to disappoint you now that I am submiting that the EA into FRWC, therefore for limited time I am uploading the ex4 file here for you to ch it.

    In order to submit it into the FWRC I will need to remove it shortly so please ch it immediately! It works in 1 Hour Timeframe.

    Again thank you for your advice and support!

    hi alousius.

    Thank you for version 3... that's impressive back evaluation 2009. Fantastic luck in FRWC

    I have some question:
    - there isn't any SL, is that this final at signal? And about monitoring? Is it working after profit?
    How come monitoring is much more larger than take profit in default option setting?

    Alex pinbars in the future may become targets for market manufacturer algorithms which can render them as most of traps to the retail broker. . only a heads up... great work here however
