Hi, I recently read about a trader who enjoys adding to losing rankings, I would appreciate some feedback concerning this

can it be reasonable? dangerous? scary? Dumb? profitable?

It is dangerous, frightening, and dumb.

    Only my 2 pennies.

I'd do the opposite. Close transactions and await the opportunity.

So as much as I understand people do not add to losing rankings? And the ones who do are sort of mad?

Just how and why I put in to loosing positions is quite intricate and not recomended for the faint of heart. I only do it once I have great reason to believe the market is in a correction phase or over bought/sold. Unless you've been trading live for a couple years I would not even concider adding to loosers.

You say that this individual enjoys adding to loosers. If that's the case, he/she is a looser.

It is best to concentrate on how winners commerce and forget this crap.

There is a saying, losers average losers

I very rarely use this technique, though I've discovered it to be more profitable if you get it done while the instrument you are investing is consolidating while in an up-trend, instead of averaging a position where the instrument you are trading is in a strong down-trend.

    My two cents.

Micro, I am not picking on you but if calling somebody a loser you ought to attempt to spell it correctly. I simply thought it was humorous.

Ok so as far as I understand it is not sensible to add to a losing position and if a place becomes losing it is only sensible to wait until the loss reaches a certain stage and get outside? And what about adding to profitable positions?

Yes, but just after transferring your initial postion into breakeven so that you do not raise your risk. Drop down a few time frames and search for drops to add on your leadership (or peaks if you're short). You need just ch a few very good tendencies like this a year to greatly increase your account.

Well I practise that, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt,. .but I did it only if little pulbacks in uptrend,. .well if I retreated with the entry completly I might even increase margin for much better entr, to find good average price,. .and shut it using little profit after bounce. . .simple,. . .but it seems a lot easier to add to winners,...
