Thread: Is there really the perfect setup?

Of course it exists! Only it changes with the asset, the schedule and your tolerance to drawdown. What serves in the DAX in the European opening, will not serve you in gold during Asia.

A double floor pattern confirmed with volume has worked for me. But look: only if there is a fundamental context that supports it. If not, I dont touch it.

Honestly, the perfect setup is the one you can run without hesitation. It doesn't matter if it's ugly, weird or simple. If you follow it to the letter and has an edge, it's perfect for you.

What many don't understand is that an unrisked setup is a recipe for disaster. You can have the best pattern in the world and still melt if you're greedy.

I'm putting together a list of setups based on market structures + flow order. I'm not looking for perfection, I'm looking for repeatability. If you're interested, I open another thread with examples.

Interesting, but aren't you assuming that all traders have the same risk tolerance? I think that depends a lot on each other's psychological profile.

Excellent contribution, really. It is rare to see someone who not only throws theory but explains it with realistic logic. Thank you!

Thank you for this clear explanation. Thats just what I needed to read to refocus my strategy.

Not everyone has the criterion to land the issue of risk-reward so I thank you very much.
