Thread: VTTrader: Repository of Indicators?

Some of the indicators Im going to upload are designed to combine with each other. Theyre not all in one, but pieces of a larger system. Thats why it would be ideal for those who test them to give real feedback, not just works or does not work. The more detail, the more we can learn all.

I also have a couple of automatic systems that I could go up, but those I do want to check well before. I would not like someone to install them and break the bill for misconfiguring them. Automate without understanding what's behind it is the perfect recipe for disaster. So patience, I go up calmly.

By the way, some indicators are optimized for VTTrader in its older version. I dont know if everyone will run well in the latest builds, so if someone has time to test them and comment, it would be very useful. I no longer use VT as before, so I find it hard to keep up with their updates.

I am considering even making a small PDF guide with screenshots and examples of how to use each indicator. Maybe it sounds exaggerated, but so anyone can understand the purpose without needing to be a programmer. If I see that there is real interest, I prepare it. I would gladly do it if I know it will serve for something more than decorating the forum.

I know that some will think that these indicators are already out of fashion, but the technical analysis has not changed as much as some want to believe. Sometimes the simple works better than both ultra fancy indicator. There is no magic in this. Only well-used tools can make a difference.

I will also raise the indicators that I DID NOT serve, with their motives. Sometimes we learn more than what does not work than what does. Dont say that we only show the beautiful. It is also worth saying this is a waste of time if you already checked it out in your own flesh.

If someone finds errors or bugs in the codes, dont keep quiet. I prefer that they say it and correct it together before someone uses it in real and takes a scare. Im not perfect and this I do in my spare time. All help to improve is welcome.

A quick clarification: not all indicators have scheduled alerts. Some simply mark visual conditions and already. If someone wants to add alerts by mail or push, feel free to do so and share it with others.

I've been going through the old files and I've found a couple of jewels that I've forgotten, one of them used it a long time in a break-up strategy in Asian sessions, I'll upload it soon, but I need to check that the parameters are the right ones, I don't want to upload something and it doesn't work the way it should.

I will also include some management indicators, spread type meters, volume or sailing timers. Not everything has to be input/output. Sometimes, what helps most in an operation is to have context. And that can also be programmed.
