Thread: Trading without indicators, genius or suicide?

Lately I see a lot of content selling the idea of trading �to hair�, without any indicator. Only price action, liquidity zones and volume. Does anyone really think that they can live trading like this, without relying on absolutely any type of quantifiable technical data? I find it hard to believe, the truth.

It�s not to offend anyone, but that �price action pure� fashion seems to me another form of marketing to sell courses. Do you want to operate without indicators? Perfect. But don�t come and cry after the market breaks you without giving you a single hint of what happened.

I left all the indicators 8 months ago. I only use structures, key areas and macro context. Results? I close weeks in green with much more consistency than before. What happens is that most people don't have the patience to read the market without a little green light telling them when to enter.

It seems to me that they are confusing trading without indicators with blind trading. Do not use MACD or RSI does not mean that you do not have a technical structure. The price itself is already an indicator if you know how to read it.

To all those who �illuminate� and throw away their indicators: can they demonstrate at least 6 months in a row of consistency without cheating? Because talking is free, but showing results is another story.

I do use indicators. I love them. They make life easier for me. Does that make me less trader than the price action lit ones? Not at all. Everyone who uses what works for him. The discussion should go around, not by who is more �pure.�

People forget that indicators are nothing but price-derived data. It�s not black magic. Just statistics. If you know how to use them, they can help you a lot. The problem is to use them as crutches, not as tools.

The ego of some here is bigger than their drawdown. Stop fighting as teenagers and understand that there is no unique path. There are profitable traders with clean graphics and others with three screens full of colors. So what?

I eliminated all the indicators for 3 months and ended up with more doubts than certainties. I now use them with criteria, without being controlled. It is not black or white. Grey is also valid.

If you don't understand the price, the indicator won't save you. But if you understand the price, why refuse a visual help that can improve your timing?
